Job summary

Iceland is seeking a committed Shift Manager to support the management team and deliver consistent results in our store. You will be recruited as a Retail Assistant and receive a £2 supplement for every hour that you shift manage the store.

Responsibilities include driving profitability through strong availability, developing colleagues, and ensuring best-practice processes and security policies. Opportunities for progression and a supportive, inclusive work environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role.
• Communicates effectively with every colleague to deliver store tasks first time, every time.
• Plans and organises the shift, using every member of the team.
• Provides balanced feedback when needed to improve the performance of every colleague.
• Sets the pace of the team, when on shift, by being hands on to deliver a great store.

Responsibilities

• Maximise profit: deliver great availability for customers and drive sales with a £1 & save a £1 mindset.
• Engage, develop & retain great people: support Talking Shop Rep, engage the team, foster an inclusive culture, share knowledge for up-skilling.
• Doing the right processes: complete actions from daily floor walk, maintain best customer service, follow cash handling and security policies, implement One Best Way processes.
• Leadership: lead by example to get the best from the team and customers, be approachable, respectful, enthusiastic, and responsible for outcomes.
