Job summary

One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco, is seeking a Shift Leader to manage daily store operations, coach a team, and ensure a high standard of customer service. You will oversee opening/closing, safety, and stock replenishment while maintaining a welcoming store environment.

You will act as the go-to person in the Store Manager's absence, support events, and continuously look for ways to improve service and efficiency in-store.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the team to deliver a clean, full store and exceed customer expectations.
• Open/close the store and complete duty cover, ensuring decisions are right for customers and safety.
• Be the go-to person for colleagues in the absence of the Store Manager for day-to-day queries.
• Support the Store Manager to coordinate seasonal, community and charity events.
• Ensure the store is always clean, tidy and well presented.
• Prioritise replenishment of products that matter to customers.
• Take immediate action for any overcharges and prevent recurrence.
• Proactively manage queues to deliver a great shopping trip for customers.
• Coordinate colleagues to meet daily priorities and manage breaks around trade patterns.
• Follow health and safety routines and ensure colleagues do the same.
