Job summary

One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco, is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee duty shifts in a fast-paced retail environment. You will lead a team to deliver a clean, fully stocked store and exceptional customer service, while maintaining safety and driving improvements.

You will coach colleagues, support the Store Manager with events, and ensure smooth daily operations to meet customer needs. This is a dynamic role in a busy market presence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the team to deliver the easiest shopping trip in the community.
• Open and close the store and manage duty cover while keeping safety top priority.
• Be the go-to person for colleagues in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Support the Store Manager with seasonal, community and charity events.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-presented store.
• Prioritise replenishment of products that matter to customers.
• Manage queues and ensure customers have a great shopping experience.
• Ensure staff breaks fit around trade patterns.
• If applicable, manage day-to-day Post Office Local operations and pass required checks.
