Job summary

Starbucks Norwich – Haymarket is seeking a shift supervisor to assist the store manager in running store operations during scheduled shifts. You will deploy partners, delegate tasks, and ensure the Starbucks Experience for customers.

You will model Starbucks guiding principles and contribute to a positive team environment while delivering legendary customer service and maintaining daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Starbucks.
• Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team.
• Anticipates customer and store needs by evaluating environment and customers for cues.
• Communicates information to manager so that the team can respond to create the Third Place environment during each shift.
• Assists with new partner training and coaching as needed.
• Contributes to positive team environment by recognising alarms or changes in partner morale and performance.
• Creates a positive learning environment by providing coaching and feedback on shift.
• Delivers legendary customer service by putting the customer first and connecting with them.
• Develops positive relationships with shift team and understands individual motivation and concerns.
• Executes store operations during scheduled shifts and manages opening/closing duties.
• Follows cash handling and safety procedures to ensure partner safety.
• Follows cash management and cash register policies.
• Follows up with barista during the shift to ensure service quality.
• Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
• Provides quality beverages, whole bean, and food products per recipes and presentation standards.
