One Stop Stores Ltd is seeking a Shift Leader to coordinate a team and deliver a smooth shopping experience in a Tesco-supported community store. You will open/close the store, manage duty cover, and act as the Day-to-Day lead in the Store Manager’s absence, ensuring safety and superb customer service.

You will support seasonal events, maintain store presentation, and drive replenishment and POS standards. This role emphasizes customer-first service, team communication, and a proactive approach

Qualificações

• Experience coordinating a retail team.
• Ability to handle store opening/closing and duty cover.
• Strong customer focus with the ability to resolve queries.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate the team to deliver the easiest shopping trip in the community.
• Open/close the store and complete duty cover with decisions for customers, colleagues, and safety.
• Be the go-to person for colleagues in the absence of the Store Manager for day-to-day operational queries.
• Support the Store Manager to coordinate seasonal, community and charity events.
• Ensure the store is clean, tidy, and well presented.
• Prioritise replenishment of products that matter to customers.
• Ensure POS and shelf edge labels reflect good presentation.
• Take action on overcharges and prevent recurrence.
• Manage store queues to deliver a great shopping trip for customers.
• Coordinate colleagues to meet daily priorities and breaks.
• Be knowledgeable about the store and implement improvements.
• Follow health and safety routines and ensure colleagues do the same.
• Deliver clear team communication and keep colleagues informed.
• Look for ways to simplify operations and share ideas with the Store Manager.
• Always put the customer first and tailor service to individual needs.
• Resolve customer queries promptly and leave customers satisfied.
• Recognise and celebrate colleagues for great service.
• Identify and remove obstacles to service quality.
• Resolve colleague queries or escalate to the Store Manager when needed.
• Ensure adequate staffing and arrange cover for short term absences/sickness.
• Be a recognised Keyholder for the store and attend alarm call outs for safety and security.
• Monitor and act on internal communications and keep staff informed.
• Coordinate colleagues to meet customer needs and store operations, reporting issues to the Store Manager.
• Balance time between service and replenishment areas.
• Support absence management and conduct return-to-work interviews as per policy.
• Build relationships with Area Manager and People Partner to escalate issues and receive coaching.
