Shift Engineer

West Oxfordshire

Monday‑Friday 3‑Shift Pattern (6‑2 / 2‑10 / 10‑6)

£60,000

Role & Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance of all the site production, process & packaging machinery and systems
  • Electrical & mechanical fault finding, troubleshooting & repairs
  • PLC - electrical fault finding
  • Installation, commissioning & modifications of new equipment
  • Working on motors, gearboxes, drives, inverters, sensors, pneumatics, circuits, VSD's
  • Shift handovers, ordering spares & parts, liaise with suppliers
  • Record all maintenance activities, manage contractors
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Ideally be a multi‑skilled engineer
  • Must have completed a time‑served apprenticeship
  • NVQ Level 3 or higher in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Ideally HNC / HNC qualified
  • Must have worked in some form of fast‑paced manufacturing industry
  • Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding & diagnostics skills
  • PLC - electrical fault finding capabilities
  • Team player, good communication skills
  • Any experience of installation, commissioning & project work would be beneficial
