A student service provider in Cardiff is seeking Notetakers/Support Workers to assist disabled students by providing accurate notes during lectures. The role requires flexibility in hours based on student demand, with a focus on professionalism and confidentiality. Successful candidates will need GCSE level qualifications in literacy, strong IT skills, and the ability to communicate sensitively with diverse individuals.
Student Disability Services, part of the Student Life Division of Cardiff University, are looking to employ Notetakers/Support Workers to provide support to disabled students to enable them to participate in their University studies.
As a Notetaker you will support a student’s learning by providing clear and accurate notes as a record of lectures and other teaching sessions. Each student’s needs are unique, so the working hours are variable. You will be paid for the number of hours you work each week by completing a timesheet. You could be required for around 5 hours a week however, this may vary each week. The hours are dependent upon student demand and timetables.
A high level of professionalism and confidentiality is expected when undertaking this role.
