Job summary

SSE is seeking a Service Design Lead for ITSM Platforms to provide technical leadership for the ServiceNow estate, setting design standards and governance for scalable, sustainable solutions with an out-of-the-box focus.

You will guide product owners, developers and partners, ensure platform health and drive continuous improvement across the ServiceNow platform, with a strong emphasis on governance and architectural integrity.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing, governing and supporting enterprise-scale ServiceNow platforms.
• Strong knowledge of ITSM, ITIL and platform lifecycle management.
• Experience delivering out-of-the-box solutions and reducing technical debt.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain ServiceNow platform design standards and guardrails.
• Lead technical design assurance reviews for major platform changes.
• Champion an out-of-the-box first approach and minimise customisation.
• Provide technical leadership to product owners, developers and partners.
• Drive platform health, upgrade readiness and continuous improvement.
