Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland is seeking a Service Technical Planner in Chesterfield to join the Service Administration team. The role focuses on validating service jobs, coordinating resources, and ensuring timely delivery of contracted works with high customer satisfaction.

Office-based with standard weekday hours. You will verify details, allocate engineering resources, and manage schedules to optimise utilisation while keeping stakeholders informed and maintaining service level agreements.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical scheduling, logistics planning, or field service coordination.
• Proficient IT skills including scheduling systems, CRM software and route optimisation tools.
• Understanding of SLAs and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Validate contracted service jobs prior to scheduling.
• Verify customer details, site access information, and equipment data.
• Route works to maximise efficiency and minimise travel time.
• Protect diary capacity to accommodate reactive breakdowns.
• Balance engineer workload for strong utilisation.
• Issue complete job packs, including RAMS, stock, and access details.
• Communicate schedule updates promptly to relevant parties.
• Respond promptly to urgent breakdowns in line with SLA requirements.
• Track reactive versus planned workload balance and provide performance data to the Service Manager.
