Job summary

SMT GB in Duxford, Cambridgeshire, is seeking a proactive Service Coordinator to manage end-to-end servicing and repair activities. You will coordinate engineers, parts and resources, raise quotes, and monitor progress to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality service delivery.

You will engage with customers, engineers, and stakeholders, maintaining compliance with Health & Safety and quality standards while developing your team and improving service performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a service coordination, scheduling, planning or service administration role.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong IT skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to understand and interpret technical reports and mechanical terminology.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Proactive, adaptable approach and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and effective resource management.
• Experience of invoice management, warranty claims, parts catalogues, or similar engineering/service sectors advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineer diaries, labour, parts and resources to support service and repair work.
• Raise quotations and manage additional repairs identified through reports and customer requests.
• Monitor job progress, costs and service performance to resolve issues timely.
• Support compliance with SMT GB's Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality standards.
• Review technical reports and ensure warranty work is administered and closed accurately.
• Assist the Service Delivery Manager with resource planning and performance management.
• Handle multiple priorities while aiming to meet KPI targets and deliver a consistent customer experience.
