Job summary

SMT GB in Duxford, Cambridgeshire is seeking a proactive Service Coordinator to manage end-to-end servicing and repair activities. You will coordinate engineers, parts and resources, liaising with customers and internal teams to ensure work is planned and delivered safely and to high standards.

Experience in service coordination or administration, excellent communication, and strong IT skills (Excel and MS Office) are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a service coordination, scheduling, planning or service administration role.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally at all levels.
• Strong IT skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• The ability to understand and interpret technical reports and mechanical terminology.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
• A proactive, adaptable approach and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and effective resource management are essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating engineer diaries, labour, parts and resources to support the successful completion of service and repair work.
• Raising quotations and managing additional repairs identified through engineer reports, inspections and customer requests.
• Monitoring job progress, costs and service performance to ensure customer issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• Supporting compliance with SMT GB's Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality standards.
• Reviewing technical reports and ensuring jobs, including warranty work, are administered and closed accurately.
• Supporting the Service Delivery Manager with resource planning, performance management and engineer development.
• Managing multiple priorities while striving to achieve operational KPI targets and deliver a consistent customer experience.
