Guinness Property Team in Crewe is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead the Repairs and Maintenance operation, delivering a high quality responsive repairs service across the area. You will be responsible for shaping a customer focussed, performance driven team and ensuring compliance with building construction standards and safety legislation.

This is a permanent role, 40 hours a week, with a hybrid working model blending office, on-site and home working.

Formación

• Trade NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
• NVQ III First Line Management.
• Site Management Safety (SMSTS) desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and support an area based operational team in the delivery of a quality Responsive Repairs service.
• Lead, develop and motivate teams to achieve service targets and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure up-to-date knowledge of building construction, housing sector best practice and safety legislation.
• Deliver front line repairs services as part of Guinness Property Team in Crewe.
• Oversee subcontractor management and service delivery through ICT systems.

Service Manager role for Repairs and Maintenance team in Crewe.

Permanent position with hybrid working model.

Responsibilities include managing an area based operational team in responsive repairs.

Essential qualifications include NVQ level 3 or equivalent and NVQ III First Line Management.

About the role

Our Repairs and Maintenance team is looking for an experienced Service Manager to join the Guinness Property Team in Crewe. This is a permanent role, working 40 hours per week covering the hours between 8am ? 7pm Monday ? Friday plus Saturday morning. The later shift and Saturday morning working is delivered on a rota basis.

We currently operate a hybrid working model that blends office, on-site and home working.

The overall purpose of the role

The overall purpose of the role is to manage and support an area based operational team in the delivery of a quality Responsive Repairs service.

What we are looking for

You will not only have experience of managing, leading and developing operational teams, along with up-to-date knowledge of building construction, social housing repairs and safety legislation. You will also bring hands‑on experience in a trade, supported by the relevant NVQ or City & Guilds qualifications.

You will also be able to demonstrate these essential skills:

• Up to date knowledge of building construction, maintenance, repairs and safety legislation.
• Experience of leading, managing, developing and motivating teams.
• Up to date knowledge of housing sector best practice and relevant legislation.
• Knowledge and experience of sub‑contractor management.
• Experience of successfully delivering an excellent customer focussed repair service.
• Experience of repairs management information systems.
• Excellent oral and written communications.
• Ability to manage and performance manage operational teams.
• Demonstrate the Guinness Behaviours.
• Experience of working as part of a management team delivering front line services.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Essential Qualifications:

• Relevant Technical qualification ? trade NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
• NVQ III First Line Management.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Site Management Safety (SMSTS).

This position will require a basic DBS check, which will be paid for by The Guinness Partnership.
