Job summary

Guinness Property is hiring a Multi Skilled Plumber in Leeds to deliver responsive repairs and general multi-skilled work across Leeds, Wakefield and surrounding areas. This permanent role is 40 hours per week, with shifts 8am–7pm Mon–Fri and Saturday mornings on a rota, plus an out-of-hours rota with extra pay.

The successful candidate must reside in the Leeds area, have a valid UK driving licence, and a basic DBS check will be paid for by Guinness.

• Experience in customer-focused environment, ideally social housing.
• Ability to work methodically and record information accurately.

Guinness Property provides repairs and maintenance services to The Guinness Partnership. Our national teams deliver rapid-response housing repairs, maintenance, and improvement services to ensure that our residents' homes are safe and maintained to a high standard.

About the role

We are looking for a Multi Skilled Plumber to join our team, delivering responsive repairs and general multi-skilled work in Leeds, Wakefield and surrounding areas. This is a permanent role, working 40 hours per week covering the hours between 8am ? 7pm Monday ? Friday plus Saturday morning. The later shift and Saturday morning working is delivered on a rota basis. The role also includes participation in an out-of-hours callout rota, which comes with an additional payment. To ensure timely access to our residents, the successful candidate must live within the Leeds area. A full UK driving licence is essential. A basic DBS check is required, which will be paid for by Guinness.

Essential requirements of the role

• You must be able to demonstrate competence within your primary trade, with the ability to carry out various multi-trade tasks such as basic plastering, tiling, joinery, groundwork, mould washes/treatment and flooring installation.
• Experience of working in a customer-focused environment, ideally within the social housing sector, with a consistent track record of delivering high quality service.
• Proven ability to work methodically, achieve targets, follow agreed procedures and accurately record information.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to carry out physical tasks and apply products that remove and treat damp and mould, in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.
• Ability to operate safely, considering any environmental circumstances and possible risks.

Essential Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 3 (City & Guilds) Trade Qualification or an equivalent recognised competency in the primary trade.
