Overview

Location: Peterborough with travel across East Anglia

Hours: Full time, 43 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm, 1 in 5 weekends

Salary: £37.5k – 39.5k (DOE), car or van, fuel card and excellent benefits package including healthcare, pension and share scheme

The Role

An exciting opportunity for a Lead Technician to join our client’s team in a newly created position for a growing Energy Portfolio in the Eastern Region of the country. This position is suited to an individual that is qualified to City & Guilds or equivalent level within an Electrical discipline, with Gas Safe or iGas certification.

Duties

Carrying out PPM maintenance regime, fault finding and repairs on large industrial utility plant, decommissioning and recommissioning (electrical, mechanical and gas systems) on a wide range of plant including steam and hot water boilers, compressed air systems and water treatment plant, BMS systems including Trend, PLC and SCADA systems.

Carry out gas service works on a number of applications including domestic boilers, LTHW boilers, burner servicing and service of Biogas equipment including pressure safety valves and associated controls.

Safely operate and maintain all site main utilities under our client’s control ensuring 100% service delivery is supplied to the end client under contract KPI’s. This includes interaction with their clients on a daily basis to meet their needs and deliver excellent customer service delivery.

Manage and update the Computerised Maintenance Management System in accordance with company operating procedures.

Experience

Essential: Qualified to C& G or equivalent level in Electrical Maintenance/an Electrical discipline. Gas Safe or iGas trained and competent. Experience of faulting finding and diagnostics on PLC and control systems. Full driving license.

Desirable: Compex Electrically Qualified Levels 1-4. Knowledge of ISO management systems – 9001, 14000 and 18001. Steam generating experience and fully conversant with boiler operations as per HSE guidelines (BG01) in the safe management of industrial steam and hot water boilers, however training will be provided. Knowledge of continuous process equipment – water treatment technology, pumps and level control systems.
