Job Title: Service Chemist / Account Manager

Experience: Water Treatment Engineer through to Field Service Chemist / Account Manager

Profile: A technical Water Treatment company with a reputation for delivering professional services to a longstanding client base is recruiting a polished Water Treatment Service Chemist / Account Manager. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of industrial water treatment and experience analysing closed systems, cooling towers, and steam boilers.

Coverage: Home based, covering contracts across the Yorkshire and Midlands regions (Leeds, Wakefield, Bradford, Huddersfield, Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster, Sheffield, Chesterfield, Derby, Burton upon Trent, Nottingham and surrounding areas).

Qualifications

• Degree level, ideally chemistry-based subject.
• Strong technical knowledge of industrial water systems.
• Experience as a Field / Service Chemist in a Water Treatment company.
• Experience managing a portfolio of Steam Boiler, Closed Systems, and Cooling Tower accounts (beneficial but not essential).
• Good time management skills – plan own schedule and workload.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Role

• Sampling and analysing Industrial Steam Boilers and Cooling Towers using onsite test kits.
• Closed System analysis of heated and chilled water systems, analysing samples and dosing with inhibitors/chemicals.
• Working across a portfolio of Heavy Industry, Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare sites.
• Compiling technical site reports and advising clients on findings.
• Managing existing accounts and securing new business; identifying commercial opportunities and upselling services.
