Job summary

Ford and Slater is seeking a Service Advisor for our Spalding dealership. You will greet customers, manage service bookings, and prepare estimates while keeping clients informed on costs, progress and authorisations.

The role requires PC literacy and a customer-focused approach; a full UK driving licence is preferred. Working 45 hours weekly, with 1 in 4 Saturdays, the position offers 22–25 days of holiday plus statutory holidays and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused individual with a passion for service.
• Experience as a Service Advisor in the commercial vehicle or motor trade is preferred but not essential.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair scheduling is preferred but not essential.
• PC literate and full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meeting and greeting clients in a friendly and professional manner.
• Managing service bookings on a day-to-day basis, ensuring efficient workshop loading.
• Complete service estimates accurately, clearly, and quickly.
• Keep customers up to date with costs, progress and authorisations.
• Prepare job cards & raise invoices.

Who are we looking for as a Service Advisor:

• You will be a customer focused individual with a passion for customer service.
• Previous experience working within the commercial vehicle, motor trade or an associated sector as a Service Advisor (or similar role), would be a distinct advantage but not essential.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair scheduling preferred but not essential.
• PC Literate.
• Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).

The Service Advisor role / responsibilities include (but not limited to):

Working alternate weeks: 45 hours, Monday to Friday: 7am – 5pm / 8am – 6pm.

1 in 4 Saturday morning’s.
