Job summary

Ford and Slater is recruiting a Parts Advisor for our newly refurbished DAF Trucks dealership in Leeds. You will handle parts sales face to face, over the counter and by phone, promoting growth of the parts business.

This role offers a competitive hourly rate (based on experience), overtime paid at enhanced rates, and access to DAF academy training with 22 days holiday rising with service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Parts Advisor or similar role in commercial vehicle or motor trade.
• Passion for trucks and knowledge of truck/car parts.
• Customer focused and sales driven with excellent communication skills.
• PC literate.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional parts sales service to internal and external customers face to face, at the trade counter and over the telephone.
• Promote and grow the parts business; utilise parts identification tools to respond efficiently.

Ford and Slater are one the UK’s largest DAF Truck dealers group with 16 locations from Norwich to Birtley in the North East, employing over 900 staff whilst remaining a family run business. Due to business growth, we have an exciting position as a Parts Advisor at our newly refurbished DAF Trucks dealership in Leeds.

Who are we looking for as a Parts Advisor:

• You will have previous experience working as a Parts Advisor or similar role, within the commercial vehicle, motor trade or an associated sector.
• Or have a passion for trucks and know your truck / car parts.
• A customer focused, sales driven individual, with excellent communication skills.
• PC Literate.
• Full UK driving licence.

The Parts Advisor role / responsibilities include (but not limited to):

You will provide a professional parts sales service to internal and external customers face to face, over the trade counter and telephone. Promote and encourage growth of the parts business. Utilise all parts identification tools to ensure effective and efficient customer response.

Working: 45 hours,Monday to Friday & 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (Saturday paid as overtime).
