Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking a dedicated Vehicle Service Advisor for a busy Westbury dealership. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service while efficiently coordinating workshop activities.

The successful candidate will join a franchise-approved group with a competitive base salary of £29,000 and realistic on-target earnings around £32,600. 7:00–16:15 / 08:45–18:00, plus one in four Saturdays, offers a structured working week.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Vehicle Service Advisor or similar role in automotive
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Good IT literacy; Kerridge/Keyloop experience preferred
• Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
• Knowledge of warranty procedures is advantageous

Responsabilités

• Engage with customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
• Manage workshop loading and keep job progress up-to-date
• Book vehicles to fit workshop capacity
• Produce accurate quotes, job cards, estimates, warranties and invoices
• Explain work carried out to customers and identify sales opportunities
• Liaise with parts department to ensure parts availability
• Ensure warranty jobs comply with manufacturer policies
• Record all work accurately and categorize repair types

We are currently seeking a dedicated Vehicle Service Advisor on behalf of our client, a franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealer group with multiple sites nationwide. The Vehicle Service Advisor will play a vital role at their busy Westbury dealership, delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth workshop operations.

This position offers a competitive basic salary of £29,000, supplemented by performance-related bonuses, with on-target earnings reaching approximately £32,600 per annum. The working hours are structured on an alternating shift basis: 7:00am to 4:15pm and 8:45am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, with a commitment to one in four Saturdays, from 7:00am to 12:00pm.

Duties of a Service Advisor include:

• Engaging with customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
• Managing workshop loading and maintaining up-to-date job progress
• Booking vehicles in at convenient times aligned with workshop capacity
• Accurately assessing customer requirements and providing fully inclusive quotes
• Producing detailed job cards, estimates, warranties, and invoices
• Explaining work carried out to customers and identifying opportunities to enhance sales
• Liaising with the parts department to ensure parts availability
• Ensuring warranty jobs are completed according to manufacturer policies
• Recording all work accurately and categorising repair types (retail, warranty, internal, non-chargeable)

Requirements of a Service Advisor:

• Previous experience as a Vehicle Service Advisor or a similar role within the automotive industry
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Organisational skills and IT literacy, with experience in Kerridge/Keyloop preferred
• Ability to deliver high standards of customer care and satisfaction
• A valid UK driving licence with minimal points
• Knowledge of warranty procedures and commercial vehicle operation is advantageous but not essential
