Job summary

Auto Skills UK in Leamington Spa is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join our busy dealership. You will be the main contact between customers and workshop, ensuring a professional, friendly and efficient service experience.

This Monday-to-Friday role offers no weekend work, on-site parking and employee discounts, with a base salary up to £30,000 depending on experience and a clear path to earnings via OTE £34,000.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor in a car dealership.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Confident handling enquiries and managing expectations.
• Knowledge of Kerridge, 1link, Pinnacle or similar DMS is preferred.
• Full UK manual driving licence.

The Role: Automotive Service Advisor

As a Service Advisor, you'll be the main point of contact between customers and the workshop, ensuring every customer receives a professional, friendly and efficient service experience.

You'll take responsibility for managing customer bookings, coordinating workshop activity and identifying opportunities to maximise customer satisfaction and aftersales revenue.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing customer service and maintenance bookings
• Welcoming customers and discussing their vehicle requirements
• Ensuring efficient workshop loading and technician utilisation
• Keeping customers updated throughout the service and repair process
• Explaining recommended repairs and additional work clearly and professionally
• Upselling additional products, services, service plans and special offers
• Maintaining accurate customer and vehicle records within the dealership management system
• Following up with customers to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business
• Working closely with the workshop team to deliver an efficient and high-quality service

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working as a Automotive Service Advisor within a car dealership is essential
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Confident handling customer enquiries and managing expectations
• Previous experience upselling additional work, products or services
• Knowledge of Kerridge, 1link, Pinnacle or similar Dealer Management Systems (DMS)
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced Service Department
• A professional, positive and customer-focused approach
• Full manual UK driving licence
