Job summary

Flexicruit is recruiting for a Service Advisor in Northampton (NN3). The role offers a salary of £28,000–£35,000 and Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm. You will join a busy, modern independent garage with a strong local reputation and a genuine focus on customer service.

The successful candidate will be organised, professional and confident dealing with customers while coordinating between the front desk and workshop. Automotive knowledge would be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor or customer-focused background within the motor trade.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Good organisation and the ability to manage a busy workload.
• Confidence dealing with customers in a professional way.
• Automotive or mechanical knowledge would be an advantage.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers professionally and creating a positive first impression.
• Booking vehicles in and out of the workshop.
• Scheduling appointments and helping manage daily workshop flow.
• Liaising with technicians to keep track of work in progress.
• Updating customers clearly on repairs, servicing and timescales.
• Preparing estimates and discussing recommended work with customers.
• Identifying additional service or repair requirements where appropriate.
• Making sure customers receive a professional and well‑managed experience throughout.
