Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd in Exeter is seeking a Service Advisor to join a busy workshop operation. You will be the link between customers and the workshop, handling bookings, updates and repairs from first contact to handover.

This is a full-time, permanent position with weekly rotating shifts and weekend Saturday rotation. The salary is £33,575 per year including Saturday rotation, with an hourly equivalent of about £16.15.

Qualifications

• Service Advisor in the motor industry or similar role.
• Ability to manage bookings and provide updates to customers.
• Experience with dealership systems preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Correctly capturing customer details and vehicle faults at the first point of contact
• Taking telephone bookings and accurately loading them into the workshop system
• Effective use of workshop loading to maximise capacity at all times
• Raising job cards - ensuring all necessary and compliant documentation is in the job pack
• Informing customers of their ongoing vehicle status throughout the repair
• Entering additions and changes to the customer database
• Handing over finished vehicles with a full explanation of repairs carried out
• Monitoring whether repairs are being completed to the required delivery time
• Actively selling after-sales services, including Service Contracts
• Discussing and arranging payment with customers
• Providing advice on warranties and service requirements
• Explaining vehicle test requirements for legally required inspections
• Arranging schedules for MOT and vehicle inspections
