  • Client Care: Provide exceptional and sensitive client care to individuals and families who have suffered traumatic, life-changing events. Regular communication, face‑to‑face meetings, and managing client expectations are paramount.
  • Case Progression: Proactively progress claims, identifying key areas of dispute, researching complex legal issues (liability, causation, quantum), and ensuring compliance with the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and Pre‑Action Protocols.
  • Drafting & Analysis: Draft critical legal documents, including detailed pleadings, witness statements, and comprehensive Schedules of Loss.
  • Expert Instruction: Instruct and liaise with a multi‑disciplinary team of top‑tier experts, including medical specialists, case managers, care experts, architects, and forensic accountants.
  • Interim Support & Rehabilitation: Strategically secure early interim payments and appropriate private rehabilitation packages to ensure the client’s immediate needs are met.
  • Negotiation & Settlement: Engage in robust negotiations with insurers and opponents, advising the client on litigation and cost risks, and ultimately optimising the client’s settlement.
  • Compliance: Maintain accurate file management and time recording using the firm’s case management system, ensuring compliance with SRA and internal standards.
📋 Required Skills & Experience
  • Qualification: Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx) in the UK, or an unqualified Fee Earner who can demonstrate equivalent high‑level experience with 2 years PQE.
  • Experience: Proven track record of successfully managing a caseload of Claimant multi‑track serious or catastrophic injury claims. We will consider candidates from a Defendant background demonstrating the right transferrable skills.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of personal injury law, the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR), and litigation procedures.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and objection‑handling skills.
  • Client Focus: A deep commitment to delivering excellent client care with sensitivity, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Drive: Highly motivated, accountable, and comfortable performing to a high level in a target‑oriented, yet supportive, environment.

  • Access to high‑quality, complex, and rewarding work.
  • A collaborative and supportive team culture. (We’re serious about injury but not about being boring!)
