Job summary

Aws Emea Sarl (Uk Branch) is seeking a Technical Account Manager to act as the primary technical advisor and voice of the customer for enterprise AWS users. You will guide adoption, discuss incidents and trade-offs with senior leaders, and ensure operational health of customer environments.

In this customer-facing role, you will collaborate with Architects, Professional Services, and Sales to deliver value, optimize performance and manage risk, with opportunities to travel 10% or more as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in design/implementation/operations/consulting with distributed applications.
• Experience in technical engineering.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Knowledge of cloud-based architecture, cloud services and experience in customer-facing roles.
• Experience in external enterprise customer-facing role as a technical lead, with strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise on solutions, provide technical guidance and advocate for the customer.
• Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy whilst reducing cost and complexity.
• Develop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges.
• Drive technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management with senior leadership.
• Consult with partners from developers to C-suite executives.
• Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers.
• Proactively identify opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS.
• Provide detailed reviews of service events, monthly & quarterly metrics, and pre-launch planning.
• Help customers migrate workloads to the cloud.
• Run workshops and brown bag sessions to uplift customer capabilities.
