Job description

This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board.

Are you passionate about legal tech and transforming how legal services are delivered?

Join our award-winning Innovation Team at Burges Salmon, where we're shaping the future of legal service delivery. We're looking for a Senior Technology Innovation Specialist to lead impactful projects that enhance client experience, drive collaboration, and embed legal tech across the firm.

Our Senior Technology Innovation Specialist role blends consultancy, innovation, and leadership. You'll work closely with lawyers, clients, and technologists to design and deliver solutions that improve legal processes and client outcomes. You'll act as a trusted advisor, translating lawyer and client needs into technology-enabled solutions using tools like document automation, low-code platforms (e.g. Power Apps), and High Q. While you won't be expected to build every solution yourself, you'll guide delivery, mentor team members, and ensure the right people are involved at the right time.

What you'll be doing
  • Leading and supporting projects that improve client service delivery and internal processes.
  • Collaborating with legal teams and clients to understand requirements and translate them into practical tech-enabled solutions.
  • Advising on legal technology tools including document automation, analytics, and no-code platforms.
  • Championing innovation across the firm through workshops, training, and events like our annual B-Innovative week.
  • Building strong relationships with colleagues across IT, Legal Project Management, and Transformation teams.
  • Leading and mentoring your team to support their development and ensure high-quality delivery across innovation projects.
What we're looking for
  • Experience with legal tech tools such as HighQ, Contract Express, Luminance, and Docusign.
  • A strong understanding of how legal services are delivered and how technology can enhance them.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain tech solutions in plain English.
  • A collaborative mindset and a natural problem-solver with a "can-do" attitude.
  • Passion for innovation and a desire to make a real impact.
