A global marine technology leader is seeking a (Senior) Technical Expert Propulsion in Glasgow. This role involves overseeing operational technical inquiries, troubleshooting, and providing support for Wärtsilä propulsion systems. Candidates should have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering, along with significant experience in service roles with propulsion equipment. This position requires strong communication and analytical skills, and a proactive customer-focused attitude. Fluency in English and potential travel are essential.

We are now looking for a motivated (Senior) Technical Expert Propulsion to join our technical service team of 11 highly skilled experts working on Wartsila systems both electrically and mechanically covering 4-stroke, 2-stroke and propulsion. The current Propulsion expert team consists of 3 skilled experts. You serve both internal and external customers with all operational technical inquiries related to Wärtsilä Propulsion Equipment. You will provide this support in the field of installation, maintenance and troubleshooting for related equipment’s.
You will report to General Manager Technical Services Central Europe Region. The preferred location for the position is Glasgow, United Kingdom. Other locations in Central Europe Region (Specifically Hamburg, Germany or Schiedam, Netherlands) will be considered.
