Job summary

AP Education in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Tech Support Engineer to join our fast-growing MSP team in Harlow, Essex. You will apply expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and network infrastructure to deliver hands-on technical support and project delivery.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive incident resolution, and document build guides while staying current with emerging technologies. A UK resident with a valid driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• 4+ years MSP experience at 2nd/3rd line, with onsite and support desk exposure.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Small projects, e.g. new starter setups, device rollouts, office moves.
• Own tickets end to end in a PSA within SLA, with minimal escalation.
• Contribute to client technical reviews and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Configure and maintain Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and Teams services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve LAN, VPN, firewall management, and network-related issues (WatchGuard/Palo Alto).
• Deploy and support Microsoft 365 products, including Entra ID, SharePoint/OneDrive, and Teams.
• Manage devices and policies using Microsoft Endpoint Manager / Intune.
• Optimize and troubleshoot Windows Server environments and Hyper-V virtualization.
• Utilize RMM tools for proactive system maintenance and monitoring.
• Maintain and enhance network infrastructure: LAN/WAN, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies to enhance service offerings.
• Escalation point for complex incidents with root-cause analysis.
• Design, deliver and document client projects (migrations, network builds, server replacements).
• Mentor junior engineers and review ticket quality.
• Write and maintain technical documentation and build guides.
