As a Systems Engineer, you will join a skilled, multi-disciplinary team providing leading Systems Engineering expertise to government and industry.

About the job:

Our client requires a Systems Engineering Consultant to work across various activities at different stages of the systems engineering lifecycle. Responsibilities include:

• Research and concept development of systems solutions.
• Development and management of system requirements using tools such as DOORS and RDL.
• Development of abstract architectures using languages like UML and SysML, and tools such as Rhapsody, SparxWorks Enterprise Architect, MooD, frameworks like MoDAF and NAF.
• Design process engineering for hardware, software, and mixed technology systems.
• Systems safety engineering, including safety requirements analysis.
• Systems integration, structuring, and partitioning of complex systems.
• Systems performance evaluation for verification and validation.
• System integrity analysis, resilience, and impact assessment.
• Environmental impact evaluation over the system's lifecycle.
• Systems qualification and acceptance.

About you:

Your skills and qualifications should include:

• Experience in multiple phases of systems engineering activities.
• Background in systems or similar engineering disciplines within complex environments, often with procurement experience.
• A minimum of a technical degree, equivalent qualification, or experience.
• Ability to resolve ambiguity in tasks, systems, and requirements.
• Effective communication with stakeholders.
• Delivery focus and determination to make a positive impact.
• Flexibility and adaptability.

Desirable Experience:

• Experience working closely with demanding customers.
• Experience in relevant technology disciplines, processes, or tools.
• Relevant certifications such as CEng, CSEP, MSP, Prince2, APMP, ADKAR, Agile, or postgraduate qualifications.

Position Details:

Senior Systems Engineering Consultant in Bristol. Salary ranges from £45,000 to £65,000 depending on experience. Permanent position.
