Senior Support Worker

What’s in it for you?

Basic salary of 29,000 plus sleep is paid at 60.00 per shift. Total earnings would be 32,200 p.a.

Who you would be working for

A therapeutic children and young people's care provider with a network of homes throughout the UK, looking after those with a background of trauma. Their goal is to focus on staff development so team members undergo continuous training to support growth and knowledge. You will have adequate tools to carry out your job safely, whilst feeling valued.

What would your responsibilities be?
  • Working as a team and supporting the Manager with staff management, develop the therapeutic care given.
  • Ensure safeguarding practices are upheld and exceeds the Ofsted regulations.
  • Build relationships and be empathetic and engaging with all.
  • Lead and co-ordinate staff to learn and follow procedure and help them develop their skills, participate in events in the community and assist with practical matters around the home
Requirements

To be a senior, you need to have come from a residential child care background and have or be willing to take your NVQ 3 in Residential Childcare. You will be familiar with trauma informed care and able to demonstrate your understanding of this. You will naturally be able to lead by example at work and have a patient and friendly disposition
