Hours : Monday to Friday, 9 : 00am – 5 : 30pm

Contract : Temporary

We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Support Worker to join an Independent Living Service supporting vulnerable young people aged 16–24 as they take steps toward independence.

In this rewarding role, you’ll work closely with a small team to provide practical and emotional support, helping young people build confidence, develop life skills, and achieve their personal goals. You’ll be a key part of ensuring a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and support to young people in semi-independent accommodation.
  • Oversee and mentor support staff, ensuring a high standard of care and consistency across the service.
  • Develop and implement tailored support plans that promote independence and wellbeing.
  • Liaise with external agencies, families, and professionals to ensure a joined-up approach.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safeguarding and organisational policies.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with vulnerable young people (16–24) in supported or semi-independent living settings.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, empathetic, and professional under pressure.
  • A relevant qualification in Health & Social Care or Youth Work (desirable).
