Job summary

Senior Structural Engineer in Water at AECOM UK is expected to lead design work for wastewater and water infrastructure projects, collaborating with clients and internal teams. The role supports hybrid working, offers diverse projects and opportunities to mentor junior engineers while delivering to agreed budgets and schedules.

Based in the UK, you will contribute to innovative solutions and maintain high technical standards across design, calculations and reports for challenging water

Qualifications

• Civil or Structural Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in structural analysis and design for water infrastructure.
• Experience using BIM and 3D design tools.
• Membership or progress toward ICE or IStructE.

Responsibilities

• Structural Design: Undertake the design and review of structural elements on wastewater and water infrastructure treatment projects, from concept through construction.
• Collaborate: With Clients and AECOM counterparts to ensure stakeholders buy in to solutions.
• Quality: Produce drawings, calculations, reports to relevant standards.
• Deliver: Deliver to budget, programme; assist with project budget & programme.
• Explore: Seek opportunities to innovate and trial new methods.
• Mentor: Delegate tasks, direct and oversee the work of others and act as a technical mentor to more junior staff.
