Job summary

AECOM in Exeter is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead water infrastructure projects, embracing a hybrid work model that supports flexible working. You will shape design solutions and drive delivery across a diverse portfolio.

Joining a multidisciplinary Water Team, you will collaborate with clients and internal experts, deliver calculations, drawings and reports, and mentor junior engineers to grow technical capability within the group.

Qualifications

• Civil or Structural Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience with reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Proficient with BIM and 3D design tools; ICE/IStructE membership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Structural design and review of water/wastewater infrastructure elements from concept through construction.
• Collaborate with Clients and AECOM teams to secure buy-in and share knowledge.
• Produce calculations, drawings and technical reports to relevant standards.
• Deliver to agreed budget, programme and quality targets.
• Explore innovative methods and forward-thinking approaches.
• Mentor junior staff and oversee work.
