Job summary

AECOM's Water team in the UK seeks a Principal Structural Engineer to lead the design of complex civil structures across water projects, with hybrid working from UK offices. You will mentor engineers and drive technical excellence from concept to delivery.

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, develop robust structural solutions, and ensure quality through drawings, calculations and reports, contributing to projects that shape communities.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in civil and structural engineering.
• Membership of ICE or IStructE or working towards.
• Experience delivering robust structural solutions in multidisciplinary environments.
• Experience in structural design using relevant standards and specs.

Responsibilities

• Deploy technical excellence in the design of heavy civil structures.
• Lead and oversee detailed designs; mentor team members.
• Challenge norms and adopt innovative ideas to deliver client value.
• Lead structural design of projects and manage client relationships.
• Communicate with other design disciplines and stakeholders.
• Prepare and review drawings, calculations, specs, and reports.
• Ensure quality through sign-off of project deliverables.
