Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead a talented team within our Water group in the Southwest & Wales offices. The role combines design and delivery of water infrastructure structures with a flexible hybrid working model, supporting major UK water projects and international opportunities.

You will develop your career as a technical expert, delivering solutions that meet today’s challenges while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with clients and colleagues across the firm.

Qualifications

• Civil or Structural Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Experience with BIM and 3D design tools in a digital delivery environment.
• Membership or working towards membership of ICE or IStructE.

Responsibilities

• Structural Design: Undertake the design and review of structural elements on wastewater and water infrastructure projects from concept through construction.
• Collaborate with Clients and AECOM counterparts to ensure stakeholders buy in to solutions and contribute to wider capability.
• Quality: Produce and review deliverables, including calculations, drawings and technical reports to relevant standards.
• Deliver: Manage delivery to budget, programme and quality, and assist with project budget and programme.
• Explore: Seek opportunities to innovate and trial new methods by being inquisitive and forward thinking.
• Mentor: Delegate tasks, direct and oversee the work of others and act as a technical mentor.
