Senior Structural Engineer

Scarborough

£50k-£55k plus benefits

Our client has a fantastic opportunity for talented Senior Structural Engineer to join the business within their Scarborough team. The role

• Your primary focus will be to undertake structural design, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Add value to a wide range of construction projects across the complete construction spectrum. Current projects include Schools, Colleges & Universities, Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Petrochemical, Food and Energy.
• You will contribute to and oversee the production of technical drawings, calculations and specifications, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated design solutions.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, maintain high technical standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

About you

• You should be proactive, self‑motivated, enthusiastic and engaging team player.
• BEng degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (a master's degree would be an advantage).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil & structural engineering, with a focus on designing and delivering complex projects.
• Working towards Chartered Engineer status with a relevant professional body.
• Proficiency in using industry‑standard software for structural analysis and design.
• Excellent knowledge of relevant codes and regulations.
• Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal, to engage with clients and team members.
• Full UK driving licence.
