The School Nursing Team deliver health care to children with complex health needs aged 3-19 attending Sherwood Park School. They are responsible for undertaking health assessments, completing and updating care plans, managing emergency situations and providing training for education staff. The post holder will ensure that high quality nursing care is delivered within Sherwood Park School across two campuses.
The post holder will work collaboratively with other professionals involved in the care of children including Children's Therapists, Educational Staff, School Nursing and Social Services to support and empower children, young people and their families, improve health and give every child the opportunity to develop their full potential.

Job Summary
The School Nursing Team deliver health care to children with complex health needs attending Sherwood Park School. They are responsible for undertaking health assessments, completing and updating care plans, managing emergency situations and providing training for education staff. They complete reports and attend child protection conferences.
The Band 6 School Nurse will also be responsible for supporting the childrens continence service. This will include carrying out assessments, giving advice around childrens continence needs and issuing products to those children who meet the criteria.The post holder will work collaboratively with other professionals involved in the care of children including Childrens Therapists, Educational Staff, School Nursing and Social Services to support and empower children, young people and their families, improve health and give every child the opportunity to develop their full potential
