Job summary

Butcombe Group is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to join our team in Frome. You will be at the heart of a bustling kitchen, supporting the Sous Chef and Head Chef to deliver exceptional food and service across our pubs and inns.

You’ll help with food prep, maintain high quality and presentation, take ownership of your section, and assist in training junior chefs. We offer flexible working, career development, and a range of staff benefits across beautiful locations.

Responsibilities

Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in delivering exceptional food and service during every shift.
Assist with food preparation and maintaining high standards of quality, consistency and presentation.
Take responsibility for your section and ensure it is organised, clean and ready for service.
Help to train and support junior chefs, sharing knowledge and best practice.
Contribute ideas and learn to develop culinary skills.
Support stock control, food safety and kitchen compliance standards.
Step up when needed and contribute to the success of the kitchen team.
