Job summary

Immunocore seeks a Senior Scientist I to advance characterisation methods for biopharmaceutical products. You will develop HPLC-based peptide mapping and mass spectrometry analyses, analyze glycosylation, and coordinate testing of protein biomolecules in both microbial and mammalian systems.

You will contribute to process development, prepare study protocols, and present findings to internal teams and partners while upholding strict GMP-like practices in a collaborative R&D environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in development of HPLC-based peptide mapping methods.
• MS-based characterisation of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Glycosylation analysis of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Independent coordination of extensive testing of protein biomolecules.
• Characterisation of proteins expressed in microbial and mammalian systems.

Responsibilities

• Support impurity characterisation of drug substance and product.
• Perform sequence and PTM identification, including glycosylation analysis.
• Characterise process intermediates to aid development.
• Develop methods for ImmTAX and other products (peptide mapping, intact mass).
• Design biochemical characterisation and stability studies.
• Contribute to study protocols and reports.
• Mentor others and share knowledge across the department.
• Present findings at internal and external meetings.
