Job summary

Oxford Immunocore, a pioneering biopharmaceutical company, seeks a Senior Scientist I in Characterisation within CMC to advance protein characterisation using LC-MS/MS and HPLC. The role involves developing and applying methods for recombinant proteins and antibodies, including glycosylation analysis and PTM profiling.

You will contribute to study protocols, write reports, and share insights with cross-functional teams. A strong background in bench biophysics and collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in development of HPLC based peptide mapping methods and MS characterisation of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Experience with glycosylation analysis of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Independent coordination of extensive testing of protein biomolecules.
• Characterisation of proteins expressed in microbial and mammalian systems.
• Understanding of PTMs in biological systems.

Responsibilities

• Characterise proteins and biopharmaceuticals using LC-MS/MS and HPLC.
• Develop and apply characterisation methods including peptide mapping and intact mass analysis.
• Lead or support investigations and contribute to study protocols and reports.
• Present findings to internal teams and external partners.
• Ensure records are up to date and compliant with EHS and GMP-like standards.
