Senior Residential Support Worker

Salary: Up to £36,000 OTE + Sleep-ins (approx. £6,000)

Recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join a well-established children's residential service. The Senior Residential Support Worker plays a central role in leading shifts, supporting staff and ensuring high-quality care for young people with complex needs.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years' experience in children's residential care.
  • Solid understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management and professional boundaries.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage shifts, oversee daily routines, and ensure young people are supported emotionally, socially and practically.
  • Take the lead in managing incidents, guiding young people through challenging behaviours and maintaining a safe, therapeutic atmosphere within the home.
  • Supervise and coach staff, complete management tasks delegated by the Registered Manager, monitor standards within the home and contribute to staff development.
  • Support new staff through their induction, assist with key documentation and play a vital role in maintaining a consistent, child-centred approach across the team.
