Job summary

WSP seeks a senior Telecoms design professional to lead the delivery of telecoms system designs for rail projects, from feasibility to handback. You will drive bids, develop discipline content, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams across UK and international projects.

You will mentor staff, oversee design quality, and present proposals to clients while aligning with safety and railway standards. Hybrid work in the UK is available.

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc Master of Science / Engineering in an electronic or communications discipline; ideally chartered.
• Proven track record of providing project and technical leadership, stakeholder management and team management.

Responsibilities

• Lead design delivery across a portfolio of projects.
• Support bids and tenders with fee estimates and proposal content.
• Lead production of telecoms system designs for rail infrastructure across all design stages.
• Coordinate telecoms design with multi-discipline teams and interfaces.
• Present designs to clients and stakeholders; communicate concepts and constraints.
• Line management of team members and staff development.
