Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a senior Telecoms Design Lead for rail infrastructure projects. You will oversee design delivery across a portfolio, support bids with fee estimates, and lead the production of telecoms system designs from feasibility through to handover.

You will coordinate interfaces with multi-disciplinary teams and present concepts to clients and project teams. The role includes line management and staff development within a dynamic, global engineering firm with offices

Qualifications

Proven track record of project and technical leadership.
Experience leading telecoms and control systems designs end-to-end for UK projects and potentially overseas.
Strong stakeholder management and team leadership skills.
Knowledge of telecoms subsystems listed in the job ad is advantageous (rail-focused).

Responsibilities

Manage design delivery across a portfolio of telecoms projects.
Support bids and tenders with fee estimates and proposal content.
Lead production of telecoms system designs for rail infrastructure from feasibility to handover.
Coordinate telecom design interfaces with multi-disciplinary teams.
Present designs to clients and stakeholders; explain concepts and constraints.
Line-manage and develop team members.
