Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior/Principal Track Engineer to join the Rail Engineering Services team in the UK. The role will lead on technical delivery across a portfolio of rail projects, with time in our London, Manchester or Birmingham offices.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate design delivery from feasibility to detailed design, and help drive safety, quality and digitalisation on schemes such as East West Rail and Dublin Metrolink.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of track engineering for heavy and light rail
• Experience delivering projects to diverse standards including Network Rail
• Experience across full lifecycle from feasibility to detailed design and implementation
• Experience using Bentley OpenRail Designer
• Chartered or incorporated registration with a professional engineering institution

Responsibilities

• Support the management of the Track team in London, Manchester or Birmingham.
• Take a leading role on project delivery as a Lead Designer.
• Support the wider track community through development design processes and tools.
• Mentor and develop the next generation of engineers.
• Lead design coordination activities and promote digitalisation to aid delivery.
