Job summary

Vistry Group is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for our Redhill, Surrey office to support cost management from procurement through to final accounts. You will collaborate closely with the Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor and work on residential development schemes.

The role requires HNC/degree in Quantity Surveying, strong budgeting and IT skills, and excellent communication. We offer competitive salary, bonus, car/allowance, generous leave, pension and more.

Qualifications

• HNC/degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent is required.
• Strong understanding of building regulations and construction methods.
• Excellent mathematical and IT abilities are essential.
• Excellent communication and negotiating skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Attend site pre-start meetings with Senior/Quantity Surveyor.
• Assist in compiling tender packages for sub-trades.
• Receive tenders and analyse for each trade against budgets.
• Issue sub-contract orders in line with policy, budget and programme.
• Liaise with Build Department on sub-contractors’ performance and compliance.
• Manage site project administration using the BMS system.
