McCarthy Recruitment Ltd in Dagenham seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial management on a major energy infrastructure project. You will oversee valuations, cost reporting and subcontractor accounts throughout the project lifecycle.

Applicants should have NEC contract experience, strong commercial acumen and a background in infrastructure or major construction, with a clear path to career progression within a well‑established contractor.

SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Location: Dagenham

Salary: Up to 77,000 + Package

Role: Full-time - Permenant

Energy Infrastructure Project

A leading infrastructure and engineering contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a major long‑term energy infrastructure project in Dagenham.

This is an opportunity to join a well‑established business with a strong order book, a secure pipeline of work and a reputation for delivering complex infrastructure projects across the UK.

The Role

Reporting into the commercial leadership team, you'll play a key role in the commercial management of a major infrastructure project, ensuring robust commercial controls are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of valuations and applications for payment
• Cost reporting and commercial forecasting
• Management of subcontractor and supplier accounts
• Procurement and commercial administration
• NEC contract administration and change management
• Compensation Events and commercial risk management
• Agreement of final accounts
• Supporting project teams with commercial advice and guidance

About You

We're keen to hear from candidates who have:

• Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or an experienced Quantity Surveyor ready to step up
