Role involves valuations, cost reporting, subcontractor accounts, procurement, NEC administration, and change management. A strong NEC background and exposure to infrastructure or energy projects are essential.

SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Location: Essex

Salary: Up to £77,000 + Package

Role: Full-time - Permenant

Energy Infrastructure Project

A leading infrastructure and engineering contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a major long-term energy infrastructure project in Essex.

This is an opportunity to join a well-established business with a strong order book, a secure pipeline of work and a reputation for delivering complex infrastructure projects across the UK.

The Role

Reporting into the commercial leadership team, you'll play a key role in the commercial management of a major infrastructure project, ensuring robust commercial controls are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Preparation of valuations and applications for payment
• Cost reporting and commercial forecasting
• Management of subcontractor and supplier accounts
• Procurement and commercial administration
• NEC contract administration and change management
• Compensation Events and commercial risk management
• Agreement of final accounts

About You

• Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or an experienced Quantity Surveyor ready to step up
• Strong NEC contract knowledge
• Infrastructure, utilities, energy, civil engineering or major construction experience
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness
• HND, Degree or equivalent qualification
• RICS/ICES membership or working towards chartership is desirable
