Job summary

McCarthy Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an Essex-based energy infrastructure project. You will manage commercial activities, valuations, cost forecasting and NEC contract administration to ensure robust controls throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires NEC knowledge and experience in major infrastructure, utilities or civil engineering. An HND or degree and professional membership (RICS/ICES) are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or ready to step up.
• Strong NEC contract knowledge.
• Infrastructure, utilities, energy, civil engineering or major construction experience.
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
• HND, Degree or equivalent qualification.
• RICS/ICES membership or working towards chartership (desirable).

Responsibilities

Salary: Up to £77,000 + Package

Energy Infrastructure Project

A leading infrastructure and engineering contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a major long-term energy infrastructure project in Essex.

This is an opportunity to join a well-established business with a strong order book, a secure pipeline of work and a reputation for delivering complex infrastructure projects across the UK.

The Role

Reporting into the commercial leadership team, you'll play a key role in the commercial management of a major infrastructure project, ensuring robust commercial controls are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of valuations and applications for payment
