Job summary

What will you be doing?

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key role in the commercial management of a major infrastructure project, working closely with the project delivery and commercial teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing project costs, budgets and overall commercial performance
• Preparing valuations, applications for payment and monthly commercial reports
• Producing cost forecasts and monitoring project profitability
• Managing subcontractor procurement, payments and final accounts
• Administering NEC contracts, including compensation events and change management
• Identifying commercial risks, opportunities and potential cost savings
• Supporting project teams with commercial advice and contractual guidance
• Ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with contractual requirements

What are we looking for?

We're looking for someone who has:

• Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or an experienced Quantity Surveyor ready to step up
• Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
• Experience within civil engineering, utilities, rail, highways, infrastructure or major construction
• Good commercial understanding, including cost reporting, forecasting and subcontractor management
• An HND, degree or equivalent relevant qualification
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills

RICS or ICES membership, or working towards chartership, would be advantageous.

Previous electricity transmission experience isn't essential. If you've worked on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects and have strong NEC knowledge, we'd love to hear from you!
