Senior Quantity Surveyor Housing Development

Location: North West

We are working with a leading national housebuilder to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial aspects of multiple housing projects from land acquisition to completion. This is a key role for an experienced professional looking to take ownership of project costs, procurement, and financial control across a diverse portfolio of developments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full commercial management of housing projects, including preparation and monitoring of budgets and prime costs.
  • Calculate and reconcile all costs related to developments, including house pricing, labour, site operations, and remediation.
  • Produce detailed cost budgets, phased development reconciliations, and profit analyses.
  • Implement value engineering strategies to optimise efficiency and project profitability.
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, valuations, variation orders, dayworks, and final account settlements.
  • Support Customer Services and surveying teams with commercial guidance, pricing, and cost control.
  • Monitor, report, and explain cost movements, ensuring savings and excesses are highlighted.
