Job description

The post holder will work with the Assistant Service Manager and Social Work Senior Practitioners to ensure, that older people requiring long term care receive a high quality, safe and effective service that takes cognisance of their physical/ psychological/ social/ emotional and spiritual needs, to maximise their quality of life and lived experience.The Quality Assurance Senior Nurse will be expected to provide nursing leadership and commitment to achieve the agreed vision of the team, to maximise the quality of life and lived experience of service users in long-term care. Within a framework of clinical and social care governance, the post holder will be expected to provide a senior nurse role to the Care Home Placement Team (CHPT), ensuring that statutory obligations, supervisory requirements, and professional standards are met.The post holder will work the Assistant Service Manager and Social Work Senior Practitioners to develop a culture of excellence, expertise and compassionate care. Working as part of multi-disciplinary team the post holder will have a lead role in developing best practices to support Older People living in Care Settings. They will work with colleagues to develop systems to support oversight and analysis of the quality of care being delivered across care settings. The post holder will lead on the development of nursing standards and systems to support the delivery of person centred care and review, including compliance with the Mental Capacity Order.
