An NHS healthcare provider is looking for qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners ready to take on a senior role in Essex. The position involves managing a team, supporting patients with mental health issues, and applying evidence-based practices. An opportunity exists for highly motivated and enthusiastic, qualified NHS Talking Therapies compliant psychological wellbeing practitioners (PWPs) who are ready to take on a senior role within the PWP team within our busy Talking Therapies service based in NE Essex.
Applicants need to share our passion for great patient care and making a difference. The post holders will work alongside a large team that includes other PWPs, cognitive behavioural therapists, primary care counsellors/therapists who provide a range of NICE approved therapeutic interventions for depression and anxiety disorders. This is a demanding but well supported position. We are particularly keen to hear from applicants who have a commitment to working in the local region, from those with diverse backgrounds and from people who bring lived experience relevant to mental health work.
Therapy For You is a NHS Talking Therapies primary care therapy service based in SE and NE Essex working from our own premises, GP surgeries and community settings. Since 2009 we have been delivering a range of services including self-help psycho educational courses, therapy groups, online/digital therapeutic services and individual therapies including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) to our local communities. The service works with +16 years/adults presenting with mild, moderate and severe anxiety and depression.
We are committed to providing an out of hours service to the community and this involves working some evenings or Saturdays, typically 6-9pm or 9am-1pm respectively. It is essential that post holders have a UK driving licence and/or have access to a vehicle. Further information available from both job description and person specification.
